In my opinion, the score to Follies is Sondheim’s best and I don’t expect to see a satisfying fulls scale revival of Follies (though Paper Mill did come close). The ALNM book works much better and I’d gladly see a non-anemic full scale revival which should be much easier (and much less expensive) to mount. But a concert production of ALNM with a cast I’m generally not familiar with doesn’t hold any interest.
