ALNM is not as exciting a cast (to be honest, I've never even heard of Susan Graham, and I don't need to pay $300 to see her play Desiree in a concert, same for Kerstin Anderson, same for Jason Gotay who i think I've heard of but don't know why, and looking him up yielded nothing, and I love Ron Raines but he's about 25 years too old for Fredrick ... sure, I'd be thrilled to see Cynthia, and Ruthie, and even Shuler Hensley, and Marsha Mason could be great), it doesn't have the same limited supply since it's 4 nights not 1... i think the score to Follies has more standout hits people want to hear done by broadway stars, even though half the leads in this a not broadway stars...

and as Zelgo said, the #1 reason is ticket prices. ALNM is 2x and even 3x as expensive. It's ABSURD. I want to see it very much, but there's no way. And if I'm picking one, it's the much more reasonably priced Follies.
