It didn't really affect my enjoyment of the show other than to encourage a bit of mind wandering, but tons of things good and bad do that.

It was more the fact the colour blindness existed only on one side of the ledger. I think that if one or two of the Socs had been Black, then I might have actually ended up empathizing with them a little bit more, if I understand my own White liberal bias as clearly as I think I do. I think there is a lot of self-consciousness and nerves on the part of White creative teams to "do the right thing" and not offend and I wondered if they felt that casting Black actors as antagonists would be perceived as inflammatory?
