but I would actually argue that, even more than off-broadway musicals that never had a production production, and arrive on broadway 10+ years later... Tommy was never a stage musical. It was an album. It was a movie. But never a stage musical. So I actually think that I think it deserved to be eligible for Score and Book. But I'm very glad it *tied* for the win with the extraordinary Kiss of the Spider Woman, and KOTSW took Best Book solo, and of course Best Musical solo.
