Schneider and Kost are actually listed in the cast credits at the end of the film. It's been a while since I watched the whole film, but the landlady is there very briefly (can't remember if she has any lines at all), and I guess they called her Fraulein Schneider in the script. Do we see a prostitute who lives there as well? If so, I guess it's very brief, but again the script (or at least the closing credits) called her Fraulein Kost.
Obviously, the characters as originally written for the stage don't really exist in the film. Not disputing that. |
