Continuing this thread (which greatly helped me decide whether to seek standing-room tickets), here's my experience from Saturday, June 25:
Three of us got to the theater about 3 p.m. and were the seventh, eighth and ninth persons in line for the 30 standing-room tickets being given out (max: two per person) for that night's performance. The first persons in line got there at 12:30. The last ones to get there and still get tickets arrived about 4 p.m.
Dozens of people came after them only to be disappointed (several offered money -- like $25 on top of the $27
ticket price -- to those on line who only planned to buy one ticket; some accepted the deal).
The show was absolutely worth the four-hour wait (standing-room tickets go on sale an hour before showtime). The line is next to the stage door, where the cast exits after the matinee (Wednesday and Saturday) so you can get autographs or just gawk. And the line of qualified ticket holders bonds well.
Bring a book or whatever to kill time. (And maybe a blanket to sit on or something soft to lean on against the wall.)

Thanks to both of you. I just dont think I can get there before 7am on Sunday so I'm a little scared, as I have to do the matinee (I won't wait 8 hours or so). I'll definitely bring a book, a friend, and a crappy pillow to sit on. I feel it might be busier this weekend as it's a long weekend (I think?)

Anyone else gone on a Sunday?
