1st, keep in mind you'll be seeing either Craig Bierko's understudy, or 1 of Bierko's 1st perfs. So maybe not the best time to go.

Box office told me the web info is wrong about only selling the s.r. when a perf is sold out. They said they sell the standing when b.o. opens at 10 a.m., sold out perf or not. b.o. opens noon on sundays.

I got there 9.15 a.m. last Saturday and was about the 10th person on line (usually safe to assume that most people are getting 2 tix and 1 or more of them will be joined by 1 or more friends as the hour draws near.) The evening sold out its standing room to the 3rd person ahead of me. I got 1 of the last 2 standing slots on house left, for the mat. I guess what with tourists, people would rather go in the evening and have their aftnoon free.

Remember this was the final weekend for Bertie Carvill and Lauren Ward, which should have +'d demand. otoh, Labor Day wknd -'d demand. All in all, once school starts (whenever that is), I think demand will be even less.

The Fri eve lottery, I went and there were about 80 people. If about 13 people will win 2 tix each, those odds are only about 1 in 6 for 1 person, 1 in 3 for 2 people, which is very good. All in all, a partial view seat near the front would trump a s.r. slot imo. If you can see their mouths moving, it can help in understanding the lyrics. p.s. as ever you can sit on an armchair downstairs by bathrooms during the interval to rest up a tiny bit.

p.s. there is a website called the rush report which gives weekly info on this stuff. But, a talkative horse's mouth like me is even better!
