Interestingly enough, the full company participation in "Who Will Love" me was much debated on Broadway. I know people who felt the re-appearance of the Freaks as a context for the song's content (and indeed message) was heavy-handed. I could see it both ways, but it seems as if it's built into the text, now, certainly not an arbitrary staging decision.
