I remember seeing Side Show in New York with the original cast and we both love the musical. Here is a side story on the Hilton Sisters. My life time companion was an ex-dancer who had an act with his sister through out the Mid-West and Canada when they both were young. They had a gig in Dubuque Iowa for three nights. The Hilton Sisters were now retired and they had a boarding house for actors/dancers coming into the city. Eddy and Mary Lee stayed at the boarding house for three night. Every night when they finished their gig they would retire to the house. The Hilton Sisters would be sitting on a couch and would greet them. They also had a big dog who would sit next to them every night. Eddy remembers that the dog would have a big bone to chew on every evening . He often wondered if it was a bone of a dead actor or dancer.Just kidding :-)
