Snoopy!!! at 42nd Street Moon

I saw the first preview of Snoopy!!! (yes, all three exclamation points are part of the title) on Wednesday. I had no prior exposure to this show - I'd never seen it, or even heard any of the songs. It was a delightful surprise. I enjoyed the show much more than I thought I would (I'm not sure why I had a negative impression of it going in, but I did). I recommend this production whole-heartedly. Keith Pinto is giving a tour de force performance in the title role, and he's supported by an incredibly strong cast (Ian Leonard as Charlie Brown, Dyan McBride as Lucy, Kyle Stoner as Linus, Chloe Condon as Sally, Ashley Rae Little as Peppermint Patty, and Janine Burgener as Woodstock). Excellent work across the board. It was great to see a lot of kids in the audience - hopefully we're helping to raise a new generation of theater lovers. Snoopy!!! opens tomorrow night at the Eureka Theatre in San Francisco, and runs through December 15.
