The New (?)Road To The Road... Providence/Chicago/ Onward...

There seems to be a path that national tours are now taking. The put the productions together in Providence,RI, send them out to Chicago for 3-6 weeks runs and then around the country. ONCE, EVITA and now the new PHANTOM have/ are doing this. Wonder why? Something in common?
