Agreed, but referring to a play written after the years of the restoration as a "restoration play" or "restoration comedy" is misleading because "restoration" refers to a specific time period as well as (and probably more than) a style.

To use another example, you might refer to THE PRODUCERS as a "1950s-style musical comedy," but you would never call it a "1950s musical comedy."
