Are Premium Tickets Saving Broadway?

I'm not a fan of them. But the inflated price is making the speed with which shows recover their initial investment pretty staggering, particularly compared to years past.
If investors think they have a reasonable chance of getting their investment back (and dare I say, get a substantial return on it) might that encourage them to invest.
It sure seems like there are more shows than ever finding financing. Could this be a major reason why?
