TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3
CAROLINE’S ON BROADWAY

On Monday evening, April 8th at the finale of Marty Richards’ star-studded-sold-out Memorial to benefit his beloved New York Center For Children, which he co-founded with his wife Mary Lea Johnson Richards, Chita Rivera quieted the crowd to make an important announcement regarding the future of the American Theatre and the New York centric film and television’s East Coast community. DAN GALLAGHER and MICHAEL MILTON, Mr. Richards’ co-workers and right-hand visionaries for over fifteen years, had power-teamed with Producer/General Manager, CHERYL DENNIS and Associate Producer RYAN DODSON to form the new PRODUCER CIRCLE CO. with offices in Manhattan.

The team’s inaugural triumphant production, Mr. Richards’ Memorial, which raised well over one hundred and fifty thousand dollars for The Children’s Center, has served as an astoundingly successful springboard for the several new theatrical projects being readied for presentation over the next two Broadway Seasons.

ABOUT THE PCC EVENT AT CAROLINE’S

The first of the new PCC productions, Kenneth Jones & Gerald Stockstill’s Grown-Up Musical Comedy, NAUGHTY/NICE, will be presented as a Concert Reading at CAROLINE’S ON BROADWAY (1626 Broadway – between 49 & 50 Streets) on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3 and will benefit THE NEW YORK CENTER FOR CHILDREN.

The cast features Broadway’s Alexandra Frohlinger, Timatha Kasten, Eric Michael Krop and George Salazar with Emily Bindiger, Dennis Deal, Carolee Goodgold and Jim Vincent.

Conceived and written by Kenneth Jones (lyrics) and Gerald Stockstill (music), NAUGHTY/NICE is being directed and staged by Stephen Nachamie and will have Musical Direction by David Gardos.

The Sound Design is by Kurt Bradley. Alexis M. Qualls is the Stage Manager.

Cocktails are at 6:30pm. The Concert is at 8:00pm.

Tickets are $125 - $225

ABOUT NAUGHTY/NICE

NAUGHTY/NICE is a new and very grown-up musical by BMI Workshop writers Gerald Stockstill (music) and Kenneth Jones (lyrics) designed as an affectionate throwback to the Greenwich Village musical revues for the 1950’s and 1960’s that were lean, mean, spare, satiric and sharply funny.

NAUGHTY/NICE was a membership-recommended finalist in the National Alliance for Musical Theatre's Festival of New Musicals. The musical also won the 2010 Dottie Burman Songwriting Award from the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC).

The Producer Circle Co. intends to tour the show nationally as a Holiday Perennial as well as establishing it as a Broadway Christmas staple.

The musical is comprised of letters to Santa Clause with adult perspectives; once described as a South Park meets Avenue Q meets Spelling Bee meets A Charlie Brown Christmas meets the traditional Rankin/Bass Christmas special.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Mr. Jones and Mr. Stockstill met in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop and are members of BMI. Their work has been heard at Joe's Pub, The Zipper Theatre, the Laurie Beechman Theatre and the Metropolitan Room, and on a Sh-K-Boom recording "New York City Christmas," to benefit ASTEP. Mr. Stockstill's musical Food on the Aisle (written with Donna Kaz) was seen in the New York Musical Theatre Festival, and Too Good to Be True (written with Amy Coady) was presented in a Kansas City workshop/reading. Mr. Jones wrote book and lyrics for the musical Voice of the City, with music by Elaine Chelton, which received a workshop/reading by the Human Race Theatre Company in Dayton, OH.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER CIRCLE CO.
Quite comfortable with winning major theatre and film awards while developing worldwide audiences during their stint with the original Producer Circle Co., Mr. Gallagher and Mr. Milton along with Ms. Dennis and Mr. Dodson are spreading their nets even wider. This new generation is fearless and will be announcing their additional theatre and film projects in the next several months.

ABOUT THE NICE LIST

The New York Center for Children is a privately funded, not-for-profit institution --- A free clinic that provides treatment to victims of child abuse, as well as training for professionals who work with children.

The Mary Lea Johnson Richards Charitable Foundation has graciously underwritten this evening’s festivities. Therefore, all monies raised through tickets and donations will go directly to the New York Center for Children in support of the important work they continue to do.

Caroline’s on Broadway has opened their doors and kindly lent us their space for this important cause.
