It's interesting (to me, at least) that in this big-ticket week, three shows went down in gross compared to the previous week. Two of them, SNOW GEESE and MACBETH, are not typical tourist fare and didn't get great reviews; they only went down a few thousand dollars apiece. The biggest loser, however, was A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN, which went down $42,000, lending further truth to the old aphorism (was it Sol Hurok?) that "If they don't wanna come, there's no stopping them!"
