This article doesn't say that the CATS film would be animated. But if the film is made, whether it's animated or not, I predict it will be a tremendous flop because, when you come right down to it, there is NO STORY to the piece. The show ran as long as it did because of the stage spectacle and the fact that Lloyd Webber writes crowd-pleasing music -- not because of the story, of which there is none.
