I've always thought she had a terrific voice, but she was seriously handicapped by making her big debut in a show where she was expected to, basically, mimic a cartoon and was not able to actually create a character or do anything with the part at all. Had she debuted in something that would have allowed her to show her talents (what? No idea...can't remember what else was going on at the time), she probably would have come out of opening night a star and everyone would know her name. And then there was the PHANTOM sequal, which also went nowhere and seemed to drag her down with it. She seems to have a knack for choosing projects that are perfect on paper, but that go horribly awry and do nothing for her in reality. But then, she just be taking what comes her way.
