I seem to recall enjoying the production the North Shore Music Theater did a number of years ago. I don't remember who starred in the production but I am a sucker for the whole Knights of the Round Table stuff so if it was still long and plodding, I didn't notice.

The Trinity Rep production sounds interesting. I missed that one but then again, I'm not always a fan of shows that try to add some kind of unique concept. The production values of CAMELOT were never the issue so setting it in a London transit system underground doesn't seem to get at the real issues of length or a plodding script.

Speaking of CAMELOT, I recently watched the film and once again was reminded of how much I like the piece. It was the first time, however, that I realized that Franco Nero didn't sing his songs. Nevertheless, the guy who did the singing was good and Nero was delicious to look at so no qualms here. I did miss Mordred's Seven Deadly Virtues which was cut out of the film and also the bulk of Follow Me (which is heard briefly in chorus). Still, it's Camelot.
