The North Shore Music Theatre production - that was presented at the Shubert because Jon Kimball was finishing his tenure in Beverly, correct?

Actually, the Trinity Rep production really did speak to the strengths of the piece reinterpreted to the new setting: During "If Ever I Would Leave You" members of the chorus (4) came into the aisles to sing, and it was clear that this was some nod to British communal resilience and how "blood, sweat, and tears" bonded the population to Winston Churchill and the royal family

"Follow Me" was performed as an Andrews Sisters arrangement

and at the very end, Arthur led the audience into singing along with the title song, saying "you know the words"
as if it were some anthem - this gave the feeling that Arthurian legend, WWII, and America's current malaise somehow were resonating together. the moment induced tears
