Afternoon at the Julie Harris memorail

Posted by: Billhaven 05:22 pm EST 12/03/13

It was a parade of theater legends this afternoon at the Jacobs Theatre. Christopher Plummer, Zoe Caldwell,Rosemary Harris, Hal Holbrook all gave amusing, commanding, warm and heartfelt tributes to their friend and colleague known for her kindness and fierce devotion to the stage. Her devotion to her friends and to her craft was also recalled by Cherry Jones, Jennifer Harmon, Joan van Ark, Biff Liff and William Luce. The afternoon was bookended by a video montage of performances and interviews. The whole memorial was produced and lovingly directed by her longtime friend Francesca James.
