During "If Ever I Would Leave You" members of the chorus (4) came into the aisles to sing, and it was clear that this was some nod to British communal resilience and how "blood, sweat, and tears" bonded the population to Winston Churchill and the royal family

I'm glad this worked for you, but I have to say I wouldn't have liked it at all. I would not have been thinking about communal resilience or blood, sweat, and tears (since the song has NOTHING to do with any of that anyway) - I would have been wondering who the hell thought usurping the iconic big baritone solo was a good idea in the first place - and I would have wondered why the guy playing Lancelot was dumb enough to go along with the idea.

Yuck.

When Trinity does Gypsy, will they have an audience sing-along during "Rose's Turn" for god's sake? Or feature the ensemble in "Everything's Coming Up Roses?" ;-)
