It reminds me of when I did a production of Once Upon A Mattress (as a terribly miscast Sir Harry). When the queen calls a couple of ensemble members forward to demonstrate the Spanish Panic, the male ensemble member is referred to as Sir Harold. There's already a principal character named Sir Harry, so out of all the vast wealth of male names in the English language, Marshall Barer chooses Harold? When I first read the script I thought "wait, is that supposed to be me? Why are they calling me Harold all of a sudden instead of Harry?"

I used to have similar issues with Larry, Harry, Susan and Sarah in Company, but there, I suspect those choices were made deliberately.
