you didn't specify a date. you said the premise wouldn't work. you were wrong. it does work. we know this because it has worked in the past.

apartment settings don't determine whether or not an audience will respond. other things like the level of writing and how engaging the central characters matter. whether the central character has a nice enough apartment - not so much.
