i saw it at the end of the run and it is a real highlight of the year for me - and it has so far been a very, very good year. mr mangenello (sp?) was fine. the woman who played blanche, whose name i am blanking on, was absolutely terrific. one of the best i've ever seen. the entire production was great. very traditional in its approach but smart and accomplished. a real never a misplaced step production for me. the times did review it but by a second stringer who, if this review was any indication of her skills, will hopefully remain one. i found it the most tepid response to the production i encountered.
