I sat in the far right section from the point of view of being in the center section. It was a front row seat, and the entire first act besides the first brief scene, I basically had a view of Jeff Goldman's back. Often he blocked the view of Laurie Metcalf completely even though she was directly facing me, and I rarely saw his face for the first half.

(slight spoilers)

ileen, you didn't really miss anything. Just picture Jeff Goldblum with a hangdog expression for an hour, and that's basically what you missed. (Not blaming him; there's nothing for him to play in the first act.)

I also missed quite a bit of everything else on stage. He was seated pretty much directly in front of me, so there were many times when he blocked all stage action from my view during act one.
