Does the lack of an intermission make Maria a harder role to play?

Posted by: mikem 10:56 am EST 12/05/13

This may be a stupid question, but does the (presumed) lack of an intermission for The Sound of Music tonight make Maria a harder role to play, or does she have plenty of off-stage time? I'm not really familiar with the stage musical. I believe all of the other actors are off-stage enough that the lack of an intermission wouldn't matter.
