I want to love this but it's hard. The acting is horrible. I feel like everyone is just reciting their lines (Maria and the kids).

Also, the scene where Liesl comes through the bedroom window and accepts Maria's help doesn't work for me. Liesl didn't really put up a fuss about Maria's arrival. They all took to her immediately (no pranks pulled on Maria) so, it's not as touching when when Maria wins them over.

I want to say, "Well, they only had 3 months to put this together" but that is a long time! I'm kind of hoping for a Carol Burnett moment, where they all crack up and can't stop ;o) (just because it's live tv, not because I want them to fail, if that makes sense)
