The whole cast has that affected "drama school" diction, e.g., Liesl sings "tot-ta-lee" instead of the more informal and more singable "tod-a-ly." I could maybe see the point of having to spit out consonants like that if they were doing this unmiked in the Lunt-Fontanne, but in the relative intimacy of a television studio, surely singing diction can be a little more colloquial and closer to spoken English.
