Is there a way to follow the ratings of a TV show as it's happening? I am referring, of course, to the live production of the Bway musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC that's happening right now!

P.S. I scoffed slightly at the beginning when the announcer said "made for television." Produced for television, yes, but not "made for."

Next week, NBC will have minute x minute ratings so they'll be able to see the ebb and flow of the viewing. For now all that's available is the half-hour data.

For the ordinary civilian, no. Nielsen Media, of course, does sample viewership in 15-min. Increments, but that data will be released to the networks who subscribe to the service.
