My copy of the script (published in 1960) has it as the Kaltzberg Festival.

Kattzberg it is. Did they change it to Salzburg for the film? I don't remember.

And of course the "Jam and Bread" cantata was filmed in the very distinctive Felsenreitschule.

Ach. Pardon my typing -- that should be "Kaltzberg" not "Kattsberg." (I think the latter location is where the Austrian version of Herr Lloyd Webber's show takes place...) ;-)
