I only saw the final hour, but I have to say some of it was very effective for me. I do tend to fall for schmaltz, but it was great to see a live musical presentation and I hope the ratings are good enough for them to want to do it again. If it reaches a few million people, it will be a few million who might be encouraged to go see more theatre.

It definitely got better as time went on. Underwood was very nervous, I think, in the beginning and then smoothed out after a while.
