Another reason to not cast someone in the role who reads about five years younger than the Captain! (his courting of the 16 year old Liesl creeped me out more like an uncle chasing after his young niece than two adolescents in the bloom of first love.)

Michael (Rolf) is 23. Ariane (Liesl) is 19. Granted, Michael does read older than his actual age.
