| Wouldn't it make sense to, you know, actually SEE their performances (most of them haven't even started rehearsals yet!) before we anoint the nominees? I never understand these posts. P.S. - It's shoo-in, not shoe-in. | |

| so technically, someone could have ventured out to see Bridges and Violet and If/Then in previous productions with these leads. ONly Bullets and Cabaret are productions that haven't been seen by the public in performance. | |

| As Mueller got great reviews out of town and good buzz in NY and has originated two roles in revivals on Broadway and got Tony nominations for both, she seems most likely not to be left off your list. I suspect Mazzie will be positioned as supporting lie Wiest in the film. | |

| They might put Mazzie into leading for one reason: They don't want her competing with the actresses playing Olive and Eden (Olive is arguably the flashier role of the two) or potentially Betsy Wolfe as Ellen. That's a lot of featured actresses. Wouldn't it be better if one of them managed to snag a leading actress nod? I'd think so. And Eponine and Fantine are both featured roles from what I've seen in the past, so Nikki M. James would be in that category I should think. | |
