Yes, you are right about the 50 years.

But, there were quite a few in the mid-to-late 1950s, although some were written just for TV. Off the top of my head: "Peter Pan" (twice), "Our Town" with Frank Sinatra, Paul Newman & Eva Marie Saint, "Cinderella" and Martin's "Annie Get Your Gun."

Many variety and specials show were live, including Jackie Gleason's, also many dramas.
