... like a soap opera set, so it looked cheap and chintzy. I've enjoyed many live theatrical productions on PBS and in cinemas at things like NT Live. Because they happen on a proscenium stage (or some kind of stage) with a live audience and because they are better lit, it is much easier to get lost in the play. During this production I was always keenly aware of watching actors on a soundstage.
