Let's not forget when Ms Lansbury was going to do Gypsy. Or Pearl Bailey taking over the role of Dolly.

Yes - but they had the right chops to actually do the roles. I think we're all in agreement that Underwood doesn't. I don't think your comparisons make any real sense.
