I don't think Sandy gave Newton-John a new career though - after the big box-office success of "Grease", she only appeared in "Xanadu" which flopped and in another film with Travolta ("Two of a Kind" or something like that) which was an even bigger bomb. She went back to pop diva-dom with "Physical" and other hits for the most part. Although at one point, she was mentioned for a film version of "Evita" based on her recording of "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina", around the same time that Ken Russell wanted Liza Minnelli for the role!
