"A Chorus Line" would be wonderful but almost impossible to pull off for the family audience and the recent revival proved it will need a great director to make it work.


Also, A Chorus Line is not a vehicle (though the film tried to make it one - big mistake) - I have a feeling they'll want to look at shows with true starring roles, not ensemble pieces.

Besides, Chorus Line is a lousy show propped up by fantastic direction and performances in its original production. Without those elements, it's basically a mishmosh.

Well, then, you really ought to say:

Well, "lousy" is a value judgment. I do think the show has a sentimental mess of a book and the music is very uneven, with a very obvious bid for radio play with the big ballad.
