Did you ever see Glenn Close in a film called "Maxie"? I think she's a great actress in drama, a very uneven vocalist in musicals, but she really bombed playing comedy in "Maxie" along with Mandy Patinkin.

Pass, please.

Bette or Dolly Parton, please. Or Cyndi Lauper or Cher or quite a few other ladies who can handle comedic acting as well as sing.

I loved her in "Barnum" thought she was a man until she came out and sang her first song!

I remember Glenn Close being on stage win a balcony looking very feminine in a frilly dress while the audience came into the theater at least until the show's orchestra began playing. She was excellent in the show, but it was her acting and presence which stood out, not really her singing.
