I saw this production at the Smith Center in Las Vegas, and I have to admit I was very disappointed at how much they "downsized" from the original. I saw it in LA with Mann and Egan and in London with the original company there. What always impressed me about "Beauty" was that it was a bona fide Broadway musical and you could see what they spent right there on stage. They couldn't duplicate it at Disneyland or elsewhere. Now, what's being presented seems like it could easily be a show presented in the afternoon at Disneyland. Actually, I would've put the quality of the production below that of something at Disneyland.
Sorry to dissent, but there you go:)

I got to see BatB on a trip to London, at the Dominion Theatre. It was a matinee, and I remember seeing huge hordes of very young children seated all around me and I just knew how noisy and distracting they were going to be. Well, far from it. Not only were they all dressed beautifully, they were so well behaved. (Some adult patrons could learn a thing or two about being a respectful audience member from these wee ones.)

I also remember the red plastic binoculars on the seatbacks. You could insert 50p (I think) to use during the performance.

I'm a big fan of the animated film, and recall liking the stage show very much, as well.

We saw CHITTY CHITTY BANG and I set next to a spellbound child of 2 whose only comments to her servedly pround Papa were "Where is Twuly Scwumtious?" and in a very soft voice. My favorite memory of seeing the how.

We found the same thing on our many trips to London. The children were always very well behave. I never saw on rowdy kid in the audience and we saw many pantos when traveling there.

I remember on small boy around 10 years of age. As we were going to our seats which was in the center seats in the aisle a young boy and his mother got up to let us go by. I saw to the boy "Thank you" and he replied in a wonderful British accent voice "You're quite welcome"
