AVE Q at NCTC--closing performance

I got to see Ave Q yesterday. Excellent production. The lead, Will Giammona, was a little soft in voice--but i think he was losing his voice and concerving it--he barely made out the last lyrics. The cast was uniformly excellent and really captured the broadway production. And its AMAZING the sound from a 3 person band (2 on keyboards, so i think the synthesizers help fill in the gaps of just a piano). The show was sold out. I wonder why it didn't extend. I thought the puppets might need to be returned, but the Decker statement was a joint partnership with SFSU that did the show last year and NCTC used those puppets. By the way, "bush for now" has been changd to "Fox news for now". I'm not sure if that occurred for the tours and current off-broadway production.
