Having seen Rivera just last season in THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, she is well past ever playing Roxie or Velma again. Aside from not even being close to being able to pass for being in her child-bearing years (for Roxie), Rivera seems too fragile for the kind of dancing that these roles require. She was out of DROOD for many performances due to knee issues and there was little in that production that would have passed for dancing (at least for her).

That said, I love her and she was a luminous presence in the show. If she ever had any desire to return to CHICAGO, she'd probably be an excellent Matron.
