I suppose there's a chance, in 20 years or so, that Idina will come back to Wicked as Madame Morrible. There needs to be a very specific set of circumstances for this kind of thing to happen: a) at least one Tony-award winner in the original cast, b) a long enough run for the actor to want to return, c) a different (and older) role that the Tony winner would be suited for. Aside from Chicago, it's hard to think of a show that meets all those criteria.
