Joel Siegel wrote the book for the musical THE FIRST in 1981, though he's primarily a film critic.

Walter Kerr was co-book writer and co-lyricist with his wife, Jean Kerr of the musical GOLDILOCKS which starred Elain Strich. That, though was back in 1958.

Will be curious to see what the critics have to say about Teachout's show. I'm guessing we may experience a whole lot of "schadenfreude."
