I really think Beautful has more than a bare bones plot. OK, the book isn't fantastic but it is more than serviceable as a framework for some wonderful songs. This show was more fun for me than say, Mamma Mia, and I enjoyed it just as much as Jersey Boys, which has run forever.

I'm not saying there should be more jukebox musicals. I really wish they would stop. But I liked this show.
