Daddy Long Legs reading

Here's hoping this wonderful show finally gets some NYC exposure. Megan McGinnis is absolutely terrific in this role, and Robert Hancock's performance has developed into her equal.

Thanks so much for the well wishes and kind words (including dissenting opinions.) We would love for the show to have an opportunity to play in NY and find an audience. No guarantees, but we'll see what happens. Cheers.

I second your sentiments. Saw this a couple of years ago at Merrimack Repertory Theatre in Lowell, MA and fell in love with it (and them)!

Yes, I first saw it as a subscriber at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park in 2010, and then traveled to Milwaukee to see it at Skylight Music Theatre two years later. The show had only gotten better in that time, and the cast recording is still listened to often. Might be a small show for a Broadway house, but I wouldn't feel cheated in the least!

I didn't get into this show when I saw it at the St. James Theatre in London last winter. I found the story kind of creepy and the performances didn't do anything to offset that. Megan McGinnis' voice had that Disney princess sound that can drive me crazy and she was just so pert and overbearing.

That's just me, of course. I am usually a lover of small scale shows.

But I am not a lover of epistolary theatre and, not knowing what it was all about going in, my hopes sank when I realized: "Oh crap. It's all letters."

Having sh*t all over it! I guess it's hipocritical to say : "Good luck!" But I actually mean it :).
