...to triumph over such stellar competition as "Alone Yet Not Alone" from the smash hit movie "Alone Yet Not Alone". Serious, if Lopez wins this Oscar, the EGOT distinction really begins to be a bit diminished, don't you think? The Best Song category lost all credibility for me in 1977, when Kander and Ebb's "Theme from New York, New York" and "But The World Goes Round" were not even nominated. The winner that year was "You Light Up My Life." I was just humming it the other...well, I'm sure I've hummed it at one point in time.
