Just a footnote: the automation for "Es Devlin’s revolving, scene-stealing set, which portrays a juggernaut of doom", as Brantley put it, failed on opening night, very early in the show. The show was nearly cancelled, but roughly a dozen stagehands who were attending came backstage, shucked their tuxes and used good old manpower to move the cube for the rest of the show.
