Oh, for God's sake. What are they supposed to begin the ad with? "Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the theatre"?

It's an ADVERT. Of course they're going to use language suggesting a revival of 'Les Mis' is something people have been waiting for. It's not about honesty, it's about creating demand for a *commercial* enterprise.

Yes - but I have to agree that "at long last" is pretty far-fetched. So many other cliche phrases they could have used - "new and improved" perhaps?, Or, "back by popular demand?" ;-)
