| Christian Borle as Hook seems like a no-brainer, right? Existing relationship with NBC (including their last live musical), and he won a Tony for playing a different version of Hook. It's hard to imagine him not being their first choice. | |

| Oh God no. Please no. I can't stand to see him smirk 90 times on my screen again. NBC needs to stop trying to make him happen. He's like fetch. He'll never happen. | |

| I'm sure they'll go for a much bigger star than Borle -- especially because, by the time this happens, his NBC connection will be a distant memory. He was pretty bad (because of miscasting) in Sound of Music and I would imagine they'll want to have some new faces anyway. It's such show-y roles and not difficult to sing that I am sure their wish list is chock full of stars (ranging from Kelsey Grammar to Tom Cruise to Hugh Jackman). It would be great if they cast big names as Hook, Tiger Lily, etc and gave Peter to a real Broadway pro (aka, Sutton Foster or maybe Matt Doyle?) If they want a name with real chops, Kristen Bell also seems pretty ideal for Peter, unless they are set on getting a guy. | |

| I don't think Borle is a good choice at all. I think Patrick Page is a good choice. Can Borle act it? Sure, but he wouldn't be my first choice. Not by along shot. | |

| LOVED Borle in Starcatcher. He was absolutely hilarious. But that has a different take on Hook than Peter Pan. I think Patrick Page would be wonderful. | |

| Maybe it's just me, but I don't think the Starcatcher and Peter Pan versions of Hook are all that different. | |

| The thought me be that he has acted it - in Starcatcher. But that's not the same approach, to me, and I'd love to see Patrick Page do it. | |

| And, for that matter, Laura Benanti seemed widely regarded as having walked away with SOM in her handbag. Possible Mrs. Darling? Or too small a role for her to consider? | |
